Policies

The rules your data follows, and how it's produced.

Policies come in two kinds.

Rules say how to read the data. For example: "A settlement date is cash, not revenue. Report revenue by order date." Each rule has a kind, such as which source wins, which date to use, or how fresh a number is.

Processes say how the data is made. For example, how ad spend is pulled from each platform and why the last few weeks keep changing.

When a rule applies to a question, it's part of the answer, and the SQL follows it.

Who can see which data is set separately, in Access rules.
